Temperatures were well above normal this weekend so for this week's Weather Wise Beartooth NBC went to Spring Meadow Lake and found out how local residents beat the heat this holiday.

"It's Labor Day.  It's time to take the kids to the lake for a quick cool dip."

"This is how I cool off."

"I had a water fight."

"We're just hanging out at Spring Meadow Lake and the kids are playing and we were out at the pool at Memorial Pool and just taking it easy."

"We went to the lake today because it's my 13th birthday.  And so I decided to have it at the lake because it's been really, really hot this week."

"I went to the Lake today because like my sister said it's Carissa's birthday party and to have fun because it's awesome here."

"Well I'm staying cool by helping to take care of four grandkids. And they're all cool and I feel cool watching them be cool."

"I'm having fun at the pool alot. I really love the pool. Isn't it amazing?! I love the pool really much!"

"I like to scar seagulls."

"Today we went swimming at Spring Meadow Lake and there's lots of seagulls out and I can see MT. Helena."

"We went the YMCA for open pool for an hour and then we came here where the water is pretty cold which helps too."

"Spring Meadows really cold."
