Twisted Trees on McDonald Pass

While hiking with my dad on fathers day we came across these twisted trees. We are wondering what causes them to grow this way

This is the flume that transports water from the Upper Tenmile Watershed to Chessman Reservoir. The City of Helena stores water in Chessman for use in winter.

Temperature Drop

Fog on Canyon Ferry Road going into Helena after the Hail storm. The temperature dropped 40 degrees in less than an hour.
