Montana Grizzly sophomore forward Kareem Jamar is the Big Sky Conference men's basketball player of the week, after recording the first triple-double in the league in 12 years.

The 6’5” native of Venice, California, scored 21 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out a career-high 11 assists in Montana's 94-79 win over Hawaii on Saturday in Missoula. Jamar's triple-double was just the 11th in an NCAA division game this season and the first by a Big Sky player since Eddie Gill of Weber State had 15 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds in a win over Montana State on Feb. 26, 2000. The bracket buster win over Hawaii was Montana's 20th victory of the season and extended their win streak to 9 games.
