Plane and pilot missing in western Wyoming
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) -- Searchers are waiting for the weather to clear before
they resume looking for a small plane with only the pilot aboard that's gone missing
in western Wyoming.
The Cessna 182 left Stevensville, Mont., Saturday and had been due in Pinedale
that afternoon but didn't arrive.
Sublette County Public Information Officer Steve Smith says the sheriff's department
and other groups searched Sunday near the Sublette and Lincoln county line.
Smith says radar lost track of the plane over upper Hoback Canyon, between
Jackson and Boundurant. He says dozens of searchers were out on Sunday,
Walked through fresh snow and patrolling in aircraft.
Smith says the air search with resume once the weather clears.
