Tester wants improved care for Gulf War Vets

Senator Jon Tester is asking for increased research and treatment for Gulf War Illness as it relates to veterans and their families.

The chronic disease, which affects 250,000 Gulf War Veterans, is a multi-symptom illness likely caused by exposure to hazardous toxins.

Senator Tester says investing in assistance for veterans makes a significant difference in the quality of life for ill vets. He says taking care of America's soldiers is top a priority.

Senator Tester says, "We need to make sure that when they're in the field they're treated appropriately and when they get back home they have the resources they need to be able to fix any problems they may have accrued on the battle field."

Senator Tester says he's been an advocate for greater research into the disease since joining the Senate.
