Dairy Queens across the state are donating 100 percent of the proceeds from blizzard sales Thursday to benefit Shodair Children's Hospital.

Employees say locations in Helena have been busy all day. The DQ on Prospect Avenue sold 400 Blizzards before 11 a.m. Also, for a dollar donation to the Children's Miracle Network, Dairy Queen is offering two dollars-worth of coupons. Owner Chiko Olson says the community has been very supportive of the cause.

“Our success that happens at Dairy Queen is because the people of Helena, the businesses that support us, the people that are coming through drive-thru constantly you know for a great cause we make miracles happen just with the purchase of a Blizzard,” says Olson.

Both locations in Helena are open until 10 p.m.
