Awards presented for fighting to reduce hunger in Montana
The Food Security Council of the Montana Food Bank Network presented awards Wednesday for outstanding work in the fight to reduce hunger across the state.
The council recognized nine individuals and organizations including Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau and State Representatives Chuck Hunter and Diane Sands. Chair of the Food Security Council, Minkie Medora, says it’s important to recognize people who are working to stop hunger in Montana.
“These are the people that are working in various ways in their communities, or in the case of the legislators, at the state level, to pursue our goals of the food security council,” says Medora.
This is the second year the council has given out the awards.
