Authorities say 1 dead, 2 hurt in helicopter crash

   MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) -- Authorities say a helicopter crash near Thompson
Falls has left one person dead.
   Sanders County Sheriff Tom Rummel said the helicopter went down Saturday
afternoon in the Prospect Creek drainage outside of Thompson Falls.
   Fire officials tell NBC Montana that there was one fatality, and two other people
were transported to a hospital.
   The accident took place about 10 miles up Prospect Creek Road, responders had
to cut through brush to get to the site. Sanders County Search and Rescue, Forest
Service and fire personnel all responded to the scene.
   The cause of the crash hasn't been determined.
