Baucus takes jobs tour to Helena and Great Falls
Senator Max Baucus had a busy day today starting in Great Falls and then traveling to Helena to promote his Montana Economic Development Summit.
Baucus says the summit is known as one of the most highly regarded jobs-focused events in Montana.
"I think these are extremely important for our state, they help us get more good paying jobs for Montanans."
During his speech at Boeing Helena today, the senator announced Boeing CEO Jim McNerney will be a keynote, speaking during the summit in September. Baucus also encouraged local business owners to submit their own ideas for how they would like the summit run. The senator says the summit will help Montana businesses grow and prosper.
"We here in Montana are doing stuff that makes a critical difference and the more and more people know about that and get the word out, the more likely we see positive benefits for what we're doing."
The summit will take place in Butte on September 16th and 17th.
