Officials identify man killed near Miles City

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) -- Officials in Custer County have released the name of
an 18-year-old Terry man who was struck and killed by a vehicle at a weekend
party north of Miles City.
Undersheriff Pat Roos tells The Billings Gazette that Harold E. Meidinger died
blunt-force trauma after a vehicle either hit him or ran over him.
Roos says Meidinger's death is still under investigation. Authorities have not
identified the vehicle that hit him or its driver.
The Montana Highway Patrol has said everyone interviewed by investigators
claimed not to know what happened.
