Ballots mailed out
Absentee voting period kicked off today with what officials say is a record number of ballots being sent out.
More than 220,000 ballots were mailed out today, that's about a third of the state's more than 650,000 registered voters.
Absentee applications are available at county election offices, and on the Secretary of State's website.
Any registered voter may vote absentee by signing up for the Annual Absentee List or filling out an Application for Absentee Ballot at the county election office, or downloading one from the Secretary of State's website here.
The Application must be received at the county election office by noon the day before the election. The voted absentee ballot must be received at the county election office by the close of polls on Election Day at 8:00 pm.
