St. Peter's Hospital has gained recognition for providing top care to women with breast cancer.

The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers granted a 3 year full accreditation to the St. Peter's Breast Center, for high-quality screening, diagnosis, treatment, and community education.  Cancer Treatment Center Director, Kari Parmer, says the achievement affirms that the St. Peter's staff is meeting its standards of good patient care.

"It's exciting for us because we know that we're providing this care.  But also really exciting for the community members because they can be assured that when they come here, the people that are taking care of them are very well-educated in breast cancer, that we have really great technology and really state-of-the-art care here."
