A home is destroyed after a structure fire in Montana City Thursday night.

The Montana City Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene after several people saw flames bursting through the second story windows.  Multiple other departments from the area were called in to help supply water to put out the fire.  Chief of the Montana City Fire Department, Rick Abraham, says at this time fire fighters do not know the cause of the fire.

Abraham says, "The fire is currently under investigation.  We didn’t find anything to indicate that it was arson of any kind and we do believe it was an accidental fire.  We involved the Fire Marshal's Office and they came and helped us investigate and those results are pending at this time."

Abraham says it took nearly 3 hours to stop the blaze.  The house was under construction and was uninhabited at the time, no one was hurt.
