Woman charged with forging check appears in court

Also in court today, a woman charged with forging a check to buy drugs not prescribed to her appeared for a final pre-trial conference.

Tansen Fayant has a change of plea scheduled for February 7th.  Fayant previously pleaded not guilty to charges of obtaining dangerous drugs, criminal possession with intent to distribute, forgery, and writing bad checks.

According to court documents, Fayant admitted to coming up with a plan to get 750 prescription pills that were not prescribed to her, with a forged check.
