Community members recognized by the MHS
The Montana Historical Society-State Preservation Office announced its 2013 Biennial Historic Preservation Awards today.
These awards recognize people in the community who have made a conscious effort to preserve Montana's history. Four people were honored today, including former Lieutenant Governor, John Bohlinger. He says a passion for history was instilled in him when he was a young boy growing up in Billings.
Bohlinger says, "Thanks, I'm deeply honored. This will be on the wall in my office in my home. And I'm just again very very pleased. I feel very honored. Thank you."
The historical society also gave 39 certificates to owners of properties listed in the National Society of Historic Places.
