Good Samaritan ribbon cutting
A local thrift store is celebrating the opening of new offices for its workers.
The Good Samaritan on Montana Avenue unveiled its new offices today, along with an upgraded reception area and conference room. The Tracy Foundation funded the construction of the new facilities with a $200,000 grant.
Good Samaritan Executive Director Teresa Schlauch says the difference between the current offices and the old ones is night and day. She says the updated space will allow the workers at Good Samaritan thrift store to better serve the community.
Schlauch says, "We have a huge conference room where we can have meetings and bring in other agencies when they need to have meetings. So it's just like having a new home. We are just so delighted and so blessed."
Schlauch says she appreciates the support from the Good Samaritan ministries and members of the Helena community.
