Shearer found guilty of sexual assault

A man facing a felony charge in Broadwater County for sexual assault was sentenced in District Court today.
David Donald Shearer was found guilty for having sexual contact with a 14 year old girl in December of 2011. Shearer admitted to knowing the age of the minor at the time of incident.
The court sentenced shearer to 8 years in Montana State Prison all suspended because he was determined to be a good candidate for community based treatment.
