The Lost and Foundation is sponsoring a benefit in memory of a local musician tomorrow at the Staggering Ox.

George A. Prudden passed away unexpectedly at his home this past August leaving his wife and 5 children.  His daughter, Amy Carr, says Prudden was the main bread winner for his family but he did not leave any life insurance or life savings.

Carr says her father contributed a lot to the Helena community and the benefit provides a great way for people to give back.

Carr says, "I think whenever there is a big community loss that it's important to come and for the community to then come and support that, he was such a giver to the community and a huge part of it, and he was touched by so many."

The benefit will have music from local bands including The Growlers, Rocket to Uranus, and jazz by Don Stone.  There will also be a raffle, food, and a silent auction with items donated by local artists and businesses in Helena.
