Owner of This and That Designs, Jessalyn Rice, organized a small business poker run to remind community members of all the local businesses Helena has to offer.

Players will get a card at each participating business they visit.  At the end, the person with the best hand will win a prize.  Rice says she hopes the poker run will generate new traffic into local small businesses, while providing participants with something new and fun to do.

Rice says, "It’s just something different and lets people know that there are a lot of local businesses and sometimes you have never even heard of them or even had the chance to go."

Other businesses participating in the run are Pinup Piercing and Jmacs Pottery.  Six other business are also a part of the run, but will not be revealed until tomorrow.  The poker run is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  You can register at any time tomorrow morning at This and That Designs.  The fee is $2 and all proceeds go toward gifts and prizes.
