The Coalition to Protect the Rocky Mountain Front is hosting a discovery tour aimed at educating Montanans about the mountains and how to preserve them.

The presentation will include photos and stories of some of Montana's most beautiful places. It will also highlight what some people are doing to protect these places through the Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act and how the public can get involved.

Jared White, with the Coalition to Protect Rocky Mountain Front, says, "The Rocky Mountain Front really is that last of the best in Montana and in order to keep that place the way it is today we have to take some sort of proactive solutions, proactive steps that are made in Montana and guarantee future generations will be able to access that same area that we do today."

The event is tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Montana Wild Auditorium. Those who attend can win outdoor gear and prizes donated by local businesses.
