A juvenile charged with robbing a Helena gas station in February made his initial appearance in district court Thursday, March 8.

16-year-old Kade Michael Gromann appeared via video from the Cascade Juvenile Detention Center in Judge Jim Reynolds' court. He is charged with felony robbery of the Holiday gas station located on Euclid Avenue on February 22, 2012.

After reading Gromann his rights, Judge Reynolds scheduled a transfer hearing for March 22 to determine if the case will stay in district court or be moved to juvenile court. If convicted in district court, Gromann faces a minimum sentence of two years in prison and a possible fine of up to $50,000.
