New patrol cars
The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Department is sporting several new patrol cars this month.
The new cars include Dodge Chargers and Ford pickups. Lewis and Clark County Sheriff, Leo Dutton, says the design on the patrol cars has only been changed three times since he's been with the department and he approved the new one after a deputy created it and presented it to the vehicle committee. He also says the old design didn't fit well on the new cars and it gave employees the opportunity to come up with a suitable replacement.
"It is a little different. It has just a little bit more of a flare to it. I think it represents us well and it looks good on the car," says Sheriff Dutton.
Sheriff Dutton says the committee will also be exploring putting the new design on all of the patrol cars in the future.
