Journey through the Montana Law Enforce Academy
In the beginning of January, 44 recruits from across the state began training to become law enforcement officers. Starting Tuesday, Beartooth NBC's Kristin Price begins a special series that follows five local trainees through their journey at the Montana Law Enforce Academy.
“Coming out here to the academy has just been learning the different laws for Montana and obviously the scenarios we're doing now is good experience for what we're doing and getting me kind of ready for going out there and dealing with it on a regular basis,” says L&C County Sheriff's Office, Bradley Bragg.
Tuesday, we'll introduce you to the three Helena Police Officers and two Lewis and Clark Sheriff's Deputies that will graduate at the end of March. Wednesday, the officers have a skills assessment dealing with domestic violence scenarios. The series wraps up with the Montana Physical Abilities Test which all law enforcement officers in the state must pass with a time of 5:30 or less.
