Fire dept. medic helps rescue kitten after crash
HELENA, Mont. (AP) -- A medic with a volunteer fire department just west of
Helena helped find a kitten that fled the scene of a car crash that
injured her owner.
The Independent Record reports Dean Hall has the 12-wwwk-old black kitten,
named Kitty, at her house until the kitten can be returned to her owner.
Kitty had been missing since Friday afternoon, when 30-year-old Twila Bachtel
er was hurt in a crash along U.S. Highway 12 west of Helena.
Hall went back to the scene and looked for the cat, then notified nearby home
owners. On Sunday, the neighbors said they'd spotted the cat in a tree near the
crash scene.
Hall asked three firefighters for assistance, but it was Hall's "Here, kitty,
kitty," that brought the hungry and thirsty kitten out of the tree.
