An awards ceremony today honored Cecelia Hazelton Elementary School and Townsend Junior High School for their excellence in nutrition and physical activity.

The schools earned silver awards in the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Healthier U.S. School Challenge. Townsend schools are one of only nine Montana schools to receive an award in the program since 2006. School officials say they worked with students to create a menu that was healthy and appealing, along with an innovative physical education program.

Wednesday, we'll talk to some of the students about their involvement in receiving the national award.
