St. Peter's Hospital is hosting an open community forum Wednesday night to discuss how the hospital recruits physicians.

The Medical Staff Development Plan shows the process of finding and selecting the right candidate. Physician Liason and Recruiter, Kendra Lenhardt, says it can take on average 350 hours to recruit a doctor. She says selling the position and community is an important part of finding the right fit.

"It's understanding how we come up and how the need is driven. It's not just a bunch of us in an office saying well I guess we need this doctor this year. It's a process we look at population, we look at demographics, we look at community size. We look at a lot of different stuff," says Lenhardt.
