Folks at the Lewis and Clark Humane Society will be holding their annual Santa Paws fundraiser on Saturday

Pets and their owners will be able to take pictures with Santa from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at PetCo.   The cost is $10, the money raised will help keep the shelter running, and will cover expenses like food, water and treats.  Humane Society Executive Director Gina Wiest has some tips for a successful pet photo-shoot.

“Definitely have your animal on a leash, especially the dogs and if you have a cat, I'd recommend putting it in into a carrier, with a lot of the activity sometimes it can get a little crazy.”
Wiest says as many as 2,000 animals go through the shelter every year, and most of them get adopted.
