Man faces 94 felonies in connection with puppy mill
The man charged with multiple drug offenses and an animal cruelty charge in connection with 160 Malamutes seized from his home last week is now facing 95 charges in Jefferson County District Court.
Mike Chilinski is charged with 91 counts of felony animal cruelty, a misdemeanor animal cruelty charge and three felony drug charges.
During a search last week, Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies found the dogs with little to no water and their kennels full of feces. They also found a marijuana operation with more than 200 plants. The Lewis and Clark Humane Society is taking care of the dogs.
A security guard has now been hired to watch over the site, following some suspicious activity in the area over the weekend.
