GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) -- A Nevada man has reached a new plea agreement with
prosecutors over the death of another man at a party in 2011.
The Cascade County Attorney's Office and Mario Juan Drake's attorney's agreement
would result in the 24-year-old Drake being sentenced to 15 years in prison
with 10 years suspended.
The Great Falls Tribune reports sentencing is set for April 22nd.
A previous plea agreement of 10 years with six suspended was rejected last year
by Judge Tom McKittrick. A negligent homicide trial had been scheduled to begin
 Monday.
Prosecutors allege Drake punched Cody Palmer in the neck on July 3, 2011, causing
Palmer to fall down stairs and strike his head on the sidewalk.
Palmer died of his injuries later.
