Great Falls hospital ranked among top in nation

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) -- Benefis Health System in Great Falls has been ranked
among the top 100 hospitals in the nation by an independent health-care ratings organization.
Benefis is the only Montana hospital to make the top 100 list released Tuesday
by Healthgrades, which compiles data on hospitals and physicians in the U.S.
The Great Falls Tribune reports Healthgrades determines its list by analyzing patient
records for mortality and complication rates in 27 common conditions and procedures.
Healthgrades surveys about 4,500 hospitals annually.
