Father of boy who shot friend convicted of rape

 GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) -- A man whose young son shot a 10-year-old Great Falls
boy to death in March 2011 has been convicted of raping a woman in September
of that year.
   The Great Falls Tribune reports Gregg Allen Zindell was found guilty of sexual
intercourse without consent Wednesday.
   The woman testified that she, Zindell and his brother had drinks and pizza at
 a bar and went back to Zindell's apartment. She said she was planning on going
home, but was offered a drink. She said after a couple of sips she felt tired and
Zindell offered to let her sleep in his bed. She testified she awakened to
Zindell trying to have sex with her.
   Defense witnesses testified that Zindell told them it was the woman who
initiated the sexual contact.
