Man charged with offering to kill another man

 GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) -- A Great Falls man is charged with offering several
 times  to kill another man "for a small fee."
   The Great Falls Tribune reports 53-year-old Shawn Michael Smith is charged with
  soliciting to commit assault. He was scheduled to make an initial court appearance
  on Thursday afternoon.
   Prosecutors allege Smith made the offer to a woman who was looking at buying
Smith's house after she mentioned that her ex-husband wasn't paying child support.
   Court records say Smith told the woman that people like her ex-husband "don't
 need to exist" and offered to lend the woman one of his weapons. When she declined,
she said Smith offered to "take care of him" and made similar statements over
 the next few weeks, prompting the woman to call police.
