Club Break-In
Donations to Great Falls club jump after break-in
GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) -- The Great Falls community is responding to a
burglary at the Boys and Girls Club by giving the nonprofit gifts and donations
ranging from anonymous $1,000 checks to videogame consoles.
Executive director Sonya Smith tells the Great Falls Tribune the kindness
has been moving. She says donors are telling her they don't want the children
to notice anything different when the club reopens Wednesday.
Someone broke in to the club over the weekend and stole cash, games,
cameras, food and the club's van, which was found in Cascade County.
Smith says she arrived Sunday to find the club ransacked.
Katie Cunningham of the Great Falls police says there are no leads at this
time.
