GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) -- The estates and families of two late experts on
artist Charles M. Russell have donated a pair of Russell's watercolors to the C.M.
 Russell Museum in Great Falls.
The museum announced the gift from Frederic G. Renner and his wife, Ginger K.
Renner of Scottsdale, Ariz., on Wednesday. Russell Museum curator Sarah Burt
says Russell painted `When I was a Kid' in 1905 and `Meat for the Wagons' in 1925.
The bequest follows the March 2011 death of Ginger Renner. Frederic Renner
died in 1987. Frederic Renner's personal research library on Russell also was dona
donated. It includes hundreds of books, photographs, records and publications that
Renner assembled over 75 years.
The estates also donated 20 Russell works, including paintings and sketches,
to be auctioned next month in support of the museum.
