GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) -- Cascade County officials say an inmate has died
after being found hanging in his cell at the regional jail in Great Falls.
Sheriff's Commander Dan O'Fallon says inmate Charles Lee Reynolds Jr. was
found hanging at 2:44 p.m. Sunday. Detention staff and Great Falls police performed
CPR until medical personnel arrived. Reynolds was taken to the emergency room,
where he was pronounced dead at 3:25 p.m.
Lewis and Clark County Coroner Mickey Nelson is investigating the death.
He did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment Tuesday.
Federal court records show Reynolds was arrested on Feb. 2 for allegedly
violating the terms of his supervised release in his 2003 convictions for identity
theft and bank fraud. His public defender, Michael Donahoe, declined comment.
