Five fires, as of Tuesday evening, are burning in the Lincoln Ranger District covering a total of more than 700 acres.

The fires were started by lightning. Four of the wildfires are considered active, while the other is completely controlled.

The active fires are burning sub-alpine Fir and dead Lodgepole Pine timber stands. Due to the remote locations and rugged terrain, firefighters aren't directly staffing the fires but are monitoring them.
