Great Falls man faces charges after being stabbed
GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) -- Police in Great Falls say a man was who stabbed
during a weekend altercation faces charges after a woman was punched a man was
threatened with a knife.
Officers say 26-year-old James Hopkins was stabbed Saturday afternoon during
a fight with a man who is dating Hopkins' former girlfriend.
Sgt. Dean Bennett says a 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman pulled up to
a house where Hopkins was standing outside, with possibly two or more other men
Witnesses told police Hopkins threatened the 30-year-old man and punched his
former girlfriend in the face. Witnesses say Hopkins slashed the tires of the 30
-year-old's car and was somehow stabbed with his own knife.
Hopkins told KFBB-TV he underwent surgery after being stabbed in the kidney.
