Typical Duties: Shoot news stories with DV camera equipment as determined by news producers and assignment editors; Shooting and Editing on DV Formats: Set-up and coordinate live remotes; Edit voice-overs, sound bites and packages; Responsible for ENG vehicle upkeep and report any problems with ENG or camera equipment to Engineering Department; Make contacts and suggest story ideas ; Answer newsroom phones; Operate Ross RVS 424 video switcher and related control room equipment, including digital effects, still stores, character generators and editors for LIVE and taped production sessions; Work in conjunction with studio and control room personnel, producers, directors and talent during all phases of pre-production; Train new production personnel; and Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned. Requirements: Experience Shooting and Editing on DV Cam Formats: Ability to type, operate a computer and make extensive news contacts in Montana; Technical directing experience preferred; Experience switching newscasts; Familiar with studio and post-production procedures; Live newscast experience; Skilled at operating field SVHS camcorder; Ability to edit DV videotape; using linear and non-linear systems; Possess valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and please provide a current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) upon application; Ability to carry camera/recording gear to any and all locations; and Please submit a non-returnable VHS, DV Cam, Mini DV Or DVC Pro tape and resume.
