Meet the producers who make the FWP Outdoor Reports
FWP Producer/Director Mike Gurnett

Mike Gurnett

A Lewistown native, Mike Gurnett began filming 16mm documentaries for FWP in 1975 while attending Montana State University. During a career focused in large part on the importance of Western history and rural culture, FWP received numerous national and international film and video production awards. Mike says the Outdoor Reports are an extraordinary opportunity to take people places, and show them things, they normally wouldn't get to see.

FWP Producer/Director Winston Greely

Winston Greely

Helena native Winston Greely began his career as an FWP videographer in 2004. The Capital High graduate attended Linfield College in Oregon, earning his degree in broadcast journalism in 1997. Coincidently, Winston's first news experience was with KTVH-TV as an intern in 1996. Winston’s curiosity in Montana’s outdoors and people are a driving force for him to continue telling compelling stories out among Montana’s fish, wildlife and parks.

TIP-MONTThe TIP-MONT program was established in 1985 to protect Montana's fish, wildlife, parks, and forest resources. This program gives you an opportunity to help protect these resources. If the information you provide leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.

Resource violations are serious crimes and you can help stop them. Violators, such as poachers and vandals deplete the fish and wildlife poplulations and destroy precious, natural habitat. Anyone can help Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks by using our toll-free number: (800) TIP-MONT (800-847-6668).

It is your responsibility to know where you are and what federal and state regulations are in place for hunting and access. Stay on designated routes. Any violations on public lands should be reported. Land status maps are available from the Bureau of Land Management at (406) 896-5004 or US Forest Service at (406) 329-3451.
