You may have noticed Beartooth NBC’s Kristin Price was absent a bit last week, and this week her voice is a little scratchy. That's because she had a tonsillectomy. Kristin documented her journey through the surgery and her recovery. In this week's Lifestyles, we follow her through the process of getting her tonsils out.
The recovery time for adults having a tonsillectomy is about two times longer than children. Saint Peter's Hospital reports the average adult needs two to three weeks to fully heal.
