The Attorney General's office is teaming up with the Montana Police Protective Agency to sponsor an anti-bullying essay contest.

Eighth graders across the state are encouraged to write down their thoughts and concerns on cyber-bullying. The grand prize is $1000 and there are also regional prizes. Attorney General Steve Bullock says they hope to get kids talking and raise awareness. Bullock says, "Bullying that used to occur on the playground is now occurring through emails, texts and we need to be aware of that. That's often much more dangerous than the blows on the playground, the punches on the playground."

For more information go to the Attorney General's website at doj.mt.gov. Entries must be postmarked by March 31.
