October is National Bully Prevention Month and Bryant Elementary School is doing their part to spread awareness throughout the student body.

The Expect Respect program encourages students to practice respectful behavior amongst their peers. Setting ground rules, classroom contracts and creating posters help students bring awareness to school bullying.

We practice talking assertively and there's a fine line between being assertive and being aggressive. So we practice the difference and the kids can really see it. I've seen a huge difference in the school,” says Bryant Elementary 4th grade teacher Mary Emgee.

Beartooth NBC is taking a stand against bullying in our community. We encourage you to take part and help us out by sending your stories about bullying to iamnotatarget@beartoothnbc.com.

You will remain anonymous and your stories will open dialogue towards a respectful community.
