Autism Speaks
Autism affects 1 in 110 children and 1 in 70 boys, making it more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined. An estimated 1.5 million individuals in the U.S. and tens of millions worldwide are affected by autism.
Unfortunately, there is no simple answer for this complex disorder. There are different levels of severity and combinations of symptoms, which lead doctors, parents and specialists to believe there are multiple causes.
Learn more about autism at www.autismspeaks.org. You can also volunteer or donate to help with support, autism education, advocacy, awareness and most importantly, assist families affected by autism in your community - learn more at www.montanaasa.org.
