Al Marks has been the Sports Director at KTVH and Beartooth NBC for 16 years and has covered everything from the Governor's Cup and the Race to the Sky Sled Dog Race to going to spring training and covering the Milwaukee Brewers and to Canada for stories on the Calgary Flames. One of the high points was going to Tennessee in 2005 to cover the Carroll College Fighting Saints football team as they won their record 4th straight NAIA National Championship.
Al also got to carry the Olympic Torch here in Montana as it made it's way to Salt Lake City for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
In 2002 Al was honored as the Broadcaster of the year by the Montana chapter of the National Football Foundation and the College Hall of Fame.
In 2005 he was named the National Television Media Person of the Year by United States Track and Field Pole Vault Development.
Al is a native of California and a graduate of Arizona State University. He is a big San Francisco Giants fan and you can see him hiking on the trails all over Montana with his yellow Labrador Retriever “Boomer.” In 2006 Al and Boomer hiked over 1,100 miles...they’re still going strong today.
